Commitment to IDDEA
Inclusivity, Decolonization, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility at PTAC
At Palace Theatre Arts Commons, we are committed to creating a space where everyone feels seen, valued and empowered. This commitment is rooted in action, reflection and ongoing learning. Over the past season, we’ve taken meaningful steps to embed the principles of IDDEA into the heart of our organization — on stage, behind the scenes and in our governance.
We’ve instituted new programming and built clear, intentional pathways for engagement, representation and development. As part of our efforts, PTAC volunteers and staff now complete anti-oppression and anti-racism training provided by the City of London as well as development workshops and earning sessions to support their personal and collective growth.
We are proud participants in the Government of Canada’s 50 – 30 Challenge, which supports organizations in building more equitable leadership teams. Thanks to this initiative, we’ve made significant progress in strengthening our internal leadership and fostering a culture of accountability, empathy and change.
At PTAC, we know that creating a truly inclusive community means doing the work, having the conversations, and holding ourselves accountable — every season, every production, every day.
