Our Junior Main Stage Musical program is for youth ages 8-12 (grades 3-7). The goal of
the Junior Main Stage Musical Program is to introduce the skills required for putting on
a production. These include skills such as basic staging and movement, understanding
and creating a character, singing in a group, and introductory dance & choreography.
We begin our Junior Program with a few basic performance workshops to get the
children comfortable with each other and the instructors. Following our workshops, all
participants audition for a role in the production and rehearsals begin! The program
culminates with performances on The Palace Theatre’s main stage in December &

Junior LYTE will present 2 Junior Main Stage Musicals, each with its own schedule.
Parents will be able to select which show and schedule they would like their child to be
in on the registration form.

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to
the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his
enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s
permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and
discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty
list and that his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win
over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

getting into trouble, Junie B. quickly realizes that she still has a lot to learn.
