2024 London Fringe Festival: Celebrating Creativity and Artistic Expression

London, ON – January 10, 2024

Fringe Festivals are renowned for their commitment to supporting independent performers and artists while providing diverse communities with access to boundary-pushing theatre and live performances at affordable rates. With over 250 Fringe Festivals taking place worldwide each year, the London Fringe Festival stands proudly among the 21 festivals held in Canada.

The London Fringe Festival is a long-standing event that showcases art and theatre that challenges boundaries and ignites imagination. This year, the festival will be held at the prestigious Palace Theatre and other downtown locations from August 13th to 17th, 2024. Prepare to embark on a journey of exploration and new perspectives as London Fringe takes you to unbridled dimensions of creativity.

One of the distinguishing features of the London Fringe Festival is its unique format. Unlike traditional festivals, no two London Fringe events are the same. Local and international artists are selected through an open lottery process, ensuring a wellspring of new and inspiring talent. Throughout the event, audiences can enjoy a diverse range of shows and exhibits, with net proceeds from ticket sales directly benefiting the performers.

The London Fringe Festival is currently accepting applications until February 15, 2024, for performers to participate in the 2024 edition. To apply, performers are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $25. Participants will be selected through a random draw, and if chosen, a participation fee of $425 will be payable to the Fringe Festival. It is important to note that applicants do not need to have a completed performance at the time of application. Each selected performer will have one daily performance at the same venue, with the time slot rotating between three different times, alternating each day.

As part of its commitment to supporting artists, the London Fringe Festival handles ticket sales, marketing, and the production of the festival program. This allows performers to focus on their craft while the festival ensures a seamless experience for both artists and audiences.

The London Fringe Festivals adhere to the five guiding principles established by the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF). These principles ensure a fair and inclusive environment for all participants, emphasizing artistic freedom, accessibility, and multiculturalism.
