LYTE’s Senior Spring Play 2026 Presents:
GIRLS LIKE THAT

LYTE is looking for 10-15 girls between the ages of 13-18 (Grade 8 +) for our Spring Senior Play. Auditions are open to anyone in this age range, you do not have to be a current participant to audition. There is no cost associated with this program as it is audition-based.
About the Show
Girls Like That follows a close-knit group of teenage girls whose friendship is shattered when a private image of one of them is shared online. As the photo spreads, loyalty gives way to gossip, judgment, and cruelty, exposing the powerful impact of social media, peer pressure, and gendered double standards. Told through fast-paced ensemble scenes, the play examines how young women learn to see themselves — and each other — in a digital world where one moment can change everything.
Content warning: Girls Like That includes themes of cyberbullying, online harassment, and slut-shaming. It also touches on issues of misogyny, social isolation, and emotional distress. This play contains mature and sometimes challenging topics that reflect real experiences many teens encounter. Parents are encouraged to consider their child’s emotional readiness for this material.
Auditions- 523 South Street (The Annex)
Group auditions: Friday February 20th , 6:00pm-10:00pm
Audition requirements: All auditions for Girls Like That will take place in a group audition/workshop format. This process reflects the ensemble-driven nature of the play and allows us to see how performers collaborate, listen, and work together in the room. The only preparation required is to have read the script beforehand (all interested participants will be sent the script when they book their audition).

First read through: Friday March 6th, 4:30pm-7:00pm
Rehearsals begin Tuesday March 24, 2026
Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30pm-7:00pm
Saturdays 12:00pm-3:00pm
Show Week Rehearsals: Sunday April 26th-Thursday April 30 (Times TBD)
