🌟 Join the Exciting Cast of Kinky Boots! 🌟

Calling  talented adult performers of all ages! The London Community Players (LCP), performing at the Palace Theatre Arts Commons, is thrilled to announce auditions for our May 2024 of the award wining, hit musical “Kinky Boots”! 

Ensemble/Factory Worker Roles: We are seeking enthusiastic singer-performers of all genders and gender identities, with a notable requirement for cis male or male identifying performers, to bring the energy and excitement to the ensemble/factory worker (non-DRAG) roles.

“The Angels”: We also need to assemble a Drag ensemble of approximately 6-8 characters. They can be any ethnicity and perform any type of Drag (Club, Gender Fluid, Pageant, Camp, you name It!). Our Directors also don’t care if you are a Drag Queen or a DRAG KING! If you can be a factory worker as well as work in drag, even better! 

🚨💃”This ain’t no job for wallflowers! 👢🚨🎶 ALL PERFORMERS must be terrific legit singers (with a contemporary pop/rock/R&B belt) and dancers (required to dance in heels); physical fitness is crucial; tumbling and acro skills not required but a big plus.

Inspired by true events, this heartwarming and high-heeled musical tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his father’s struggling shoe factory. In a desperate attempt to save the business, he forms an unlikely partnership with Lola, a fabulous drag queen. Together, they create extraordinary shoes that defy expectations and change lives. Get ready to be uplifted, entertained, and inspired by this Tony Award-winning sensation, with music by none other than the incredible “girl who just wants to have fun”, Cyndi Lauper!

💡 No previous experience required – we encourage actors of all levels to audition!

📝 How to Audition:
1️⃣ Prepare a 1-2 minute song from a musical (accompaniment track or sheet music required).
2️⃣ Be ready to learn a short dance combination, so wear comfortable attire and appropriate footwear.
3️⃣ Come with a positive attitude, a willingness to collaborate, and a passion for storytelling!
